Outfit of the Day: 80's Inspiration for Afternoon Tea

Wednesday, 1 April 2020

It may come as a surprise, but I didn't actually mean for this outfit to turn out as 80's as it did. That being said; I'm not mad at it at all. Funny story with this dress; I saw a girl wearing a similar style but in a camel colour and I loved how it looked but knew I'd prefer it in black. It's a black knitted dress it can't be hard to find, right? Wrong! Everywhere I looked either had nothing like it or similar styles but not quiiiite was I was looking for. I thought all was lost, until, ASOS came to the rescue! Or so I thought; of course, when I look closer my size is sold out. Fiddlesticks. I sign up for the email notification for when it came back in stock; I must have received this notification five times before I was actually able to order it. I kept seeing it too late and it would be out of stock again! Three weeks after I originally saw it it was finally mine and boy am I glad I went to all that trouble because I LOVE it. It's the perfect casual LBD; mixing it together with my leather jacket, patterned tights, Dr Marten's and a red bag for a splash of colour, and you have one of my favourite outfits I've ever worn!
