Current Beauty Favourites

Monday, 21 October 2019

I have not done a post like this in a looooooooong long time, I can't even remember the last time a did a beauty post? The truth is, my beauty routines haven't been that exciting of late. I've kind of been in a rut where I couldn't be bothered with makeup and therefore used as minimal products as possible. I've also found that beauty posts take a lot more thought and time to produce; with working full time still, I just haven't been able to spend time talking about beauty products. But here I am, back into loving makeup and I've got a list of my current faves. What a time to be alive!

Lancome Rose Milk Mist

This is a new skincare product on the market and I am fully obsessed with it! It's a hydrating mist that can be used before or after makeup and it has hyaluronic acid, that magical ingredient we're all obsessed with, making sure your skin is still living it's best life whilst slathered in makeup. Personally, I'm not actually a huge fan of the spray itself, the formula is a bit thicker than the average spray or mist so I find it can leave large drops of the product on the skin. I prefer to spray a few drops on my hand and press onto the skin instead. I love how it makes my skin feel soothed and plump. A must-have for me now.

Clarins SOS Primer in "06 Bronze"

Now that we are in Autumn and the tan is slowly fading *sobs* I need all the help I can get to keep my bronzed glow going strong; that is where this primer comes in. It has a lovely sheen to it that will make your skin look beautifully dewy but it's also the perfect tan shade for my skin tone that will give me that "just been on holiday" tan without making me look like an Oompa Loompa.

Barry M Lipliner in "5"

This Barry M lipliner is my favourite nude lipliner that I won, and I own a few. It's the perfect shade for me, it's a warm-toned brown without being too peachy and is the perfect depth for everyday wear that doesn't wash me out. Also let's not forget that Barry M is super affordable, what's not to love?

YSL All Hours Foundation

I've tried and owned a lot of foundations in my time but this is the one I always find myself going back to over and over again. It's got good coverage, which I need now we're going into Autumn/Winter, it wears really well, it doesn't look cakey AND it doesn't feel like you're wearing too much. I love it so much I have to have it in two colours so I can wear it all year round. I will never be without this foundation.

Lancome Fix It & Forget It Setting Spray

Another spray here but this one is what I use during and after makeup application. The spray on this one is really fine so doesn't interrupt any of the makeup. Instead, it just melts all the products together so they are at one with your skin. I also spray this throughout my makeup routine to make sure my skin is hydrated and fresh.
