Current Skincare Routine

Thursday, 21 February 2019

I recently did a YouTube video on my current skincare routine but I thought I'd also share it on here as well. I've always been really into keeping up a good skincare routine; not only does it make my skin look and feel better, but it has definitely improved the way make up sits. You don't need to use 100 products or break the bank, but making sure you actually have a routine in place will make sure your skin is getting the nourishment that it needs!

I do like to use a lot of products but I only use ones that have made a noticeable difference to my skin. The first being the Clarisonic Cleansing Brush, my face has never felt so clean. The main reason this brush is so amazing is that as well as cleaning the surface of the skin it also cleans deep into your pores as well. I like to use the Lancôme Miel-en-Mousse or Gel Eclat cleansers as they both foam up and make my skin feel super duper clean.

This won't be the first time I have gushed about sheet masks (read here) the Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask being one of my favourites. It's cheap and fab! You leave it on the skin for 15 minutes and once you pull it off your skin feels plump, soft and hydrated. I use them all the time and couldn't recommend them enough.

The toner I'm using at the moment is the Lancôme Tonique Confort, as we're still technically in winter my skin is at it's dryest and this toner is really comforting and nourishing. The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin Serum has been a favourite of mine for a while now; my skin tone has been a lot more even aannnnnd this cost me £7. See, I told you you didn't have to spend much!

Going from cheap to gosh darn expensive; the moisturiser I'm using is the Lancôme Absolue Precious Cells day cream. It's nice and rich which is perfect for my skin at the moment; it also has anti-aging properties. I know I'm only 27 but it couldn't hurt, right? Another Lancôme product I've been using is the Genifique Eye Cream. It targets fine lines and helps make the eye area more radiant; perfect for someone like me who looks like a panda without makeup.

If I want a bit of extra juice I put Clinique Moisture Surge Supercharged Concentrate on top of the moisturiser, it gives even more hydration but also makes the skin really plump. Perfect for priming! To top it off I use Mario Badescu Rosewater Spray, I find it really refreshing and it smells diviiiine.
