I know us Brits like to complain a lot about where we live; but, the truth is, I bloody love the UK! I’m very patriotic about where I live and truly think it’s a place that everyone can enjoy. Don’t let things like the infamous bad weather put you off - it rains a bit, for sure, but it can also be pretty pleasant a lot of the time, too, and even if it does rain, it doesn’t put us Brits off of enjoying what our beautiful country has to offer.
So, if you’re looking for something a bit different that you’ll never forget for your next trip, then in this post, I’m going to share with you some reasons why the UK is a country that’s definitely worth exploring.
Stunning Scenery:
From the rolling hills of the Scottish Highlands, white sandy beaches that are untouched for miles in the Islands, and stunning lakes in the North of England, and not forgetting the beautiful beaches of Devon and Cornwall perfect for surfing, the UK really has been blessed with some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, and it’s a place you could travel all over and see something completely different everywhere you go and not be able to believe you’re in the same country.

Delicious Food:
British food doesn’t have the best reputation on a global scale, if you’re talking about things like deep-fried Mars Bars, then I would agree with you (I mean, I think they’re delish but I know they’re not for everyone). Actually; the UK has some delicious cuisine if you know where to look. Due to be being the recipients of so much rain, the countryside is well provided for in terms of grass, which means that plenty of vegetables grow and that beef is among some of the finest in the world. You can pay a higher price and go to a top restaurant in London where you’ll find amazing food, but you can also opt for some traditional and home-cooked food all over the country, whether it be in Loch Lomond or one of the restaurants in Tunbridge Wells.
Diverse Landscapes:
The UK really has something to offer every taste, so whether you’re looking for a bustling city like London, a smaller city full of charm like Liverpool, or if you’re looking for country roads and sleepy villages, you’re certainly not going to be disappointed on a tour around the UK.
Easily Accessible:
The UK may seem like a small island, and whilst it’s by no means as large as some places, it’s not as small as it appears - so if you’re hoping to get from London to Edinburgh in an hour or two, then you’ll be in for a shock. However, despite the size of the UK, it’s actually very accessible and easy to get around from anywhere with great train, bus and air links all over the country. So, although you won’t get from London to Edinburgh in an hour (unless you fly), you will get there without much hassle. Plus, the great benefit of travelling around the UK on things like trains and buses is that you see so much of that diverse landscape and scenery we mentioned above.
I know I am very biased but I love this country and am confident you will too!
