Current Beauty Favourites

Sunday, 8 April 2018

Since the new year I have really tried to expand my horizons when it comes to make up and try lots of new brands and products, whether they're high street or high end. Having to wear make up most days means I'm able to put a lot of products to the test and see how well they wear throughout the day/night. Here are the products that I've been loving recently...

Morphe Sponge

I wasn't sure I was going to find a sponge that I would love as much as the Beauty Blender, but this one has really caught my attention. The main reason I like the sponge is because it has a really sharp point so when I'm applying my concealer I can get right into the corner under my eye and blend everything perfectly. At only £8 I think this is a pretty decent sponge.

Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation Stick

This is the first foundation stick I've ever tried and I'm annoyed I've never tried them sooner. It's so easy to apply, I literally just draw it all over my face and then blend out with my sponge. You can build up the coverage if need be or use a darker shade for bronzing/contouring. It gives a medium/natural coverage which I love from a foundation. They cost £27 so are a bit on the pricier side but I definitely think they're worth it.

Makeup Revolution Concealer

I included this in my February favourites YouTube video; we are now in April, and it is still a favourite! First of all it's only £4. Second of all, it's coverage is amaaaazing. It honestly feels like the quality of concealers you get for 10x the price. I could not recommend this enough. I was so impressed when I first tried it and still am.

Topshop Lip Bullet in "Motel"

I've been wearing this lipstick so much recently, it's just such a classic nude and really comfortable to wear. It's the one of always reach for if I'm just popping out and want a little bit of lip colour. I also find it goes well with any make up look and outfit. The perfect nude lip.

Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara

The reason I love this mascara so much is because it reminds me of one of my all time favourites, the Lancôme Mr Big mascara, although this one is a fraction of the price. It gives really intense volume and length, almost a false lash effect. If you're not a fan of a but of clump then I would give it a miss, for me it's a winner!

  1. The sharp point on the sponge is great, like you said it gets to the inner corder of the eyes - something i'm struggling with at the moment! I want to try more Topshop makeup too, this lipstick looks lovely x
