I realise I've been posting a lot of "Outfit of the Day" posts recently but, to be honest, I really like sharing my different outfits with you and these posts are some of my most popular so expect to see a lot more!
Anyway; I know I didn't grow up during the soul era but my Dad would play soul music all the time whilst growing up it almost felt like we did. Soul Train is an event at the Bussey Building in Peckham (I believe there are many Soul Train events around the UK) where lots of famous soul music is played throughout the night, until 5am I think! I definitely didn't last that long but I had so much fun dancing away to the songs from my childhood; it was a real trip down memory lane. I knew it was probably going to be very hot inside the venue as it was quite a warm night so I decided not to wear anything too hot and keep it a little bit casual with low heels to keep comfortable. I did actually alter this top slightly; when it was delivered I didn't realise how big and puffy the sleeves were and thought it looked a bit silly on me so I shortened them so they didn't swallow my arms up. If you are a fan of soul music then I would definitely recommend you get yourself to a Soul Train event!
