My Festival Toiletry Bag

Friday, 16 June 2017
Glastonbury is just round the corner and I'm so excited! Since purchasing the tickets in October last year the time has just flown by and I now need to pack. Packing for festivals is quite different as everything you bring you have to be able to carry on your back. It normally takes a good couple of hours or so to queue and find a camping spot so if your bag is too heavy you are definitely going to struggle.

Boots Travel Toothbrush, Colgate Max White Toothpaste, Cuticura Hand Gel, Doux Me Spring Water Spray, Johnson's Face Wipes, Lancôme Hydra Zen SPF 15 Moisturiser, Listerine Mouth Wash, Nivea Deodorant, Soap & Glory Dry Shampoo & Venus Travel Razor

Amazingly the weather looks like it's going to be really nice, which makes a change from last years mud bath. That means I won't need to pack too many warm clothes which obviously weigh more. It does mean however that I'll definitely need to make sure that I take sun protection with me as there isn't a lot of shade there and getting sunburnt would be a nightmare. Having a moisturiser like the Lancôme Hydra Zen SPF 15 Moisturiser will help. I'm almost making sure I have my Doux Me Spring Water Facial Spray with me whenever I need to cool down.

As stated in previous travel bag posts I'm lucky to have many sample sizes of skin care products which are perfect for festivals as they are so light to carry. I won't be taking my entire skin care routine with me of course, some cleansing wipes and a moisturiser will do. I will also be taking my Clarins Energy Booster with me, a couple of drops of this in a foundation or moisturiser will really energise the skin in the mornings. Even after a heavy night!

Barry M Silver Fine Glitter Dust, Clarins Energy Booster, Clinique High Impact Mascara, Lancôme BB Nude Gel, Nivea Lip Balm, NYX Lid Lingerie in "Gold Standard" & "Fame & Fortune" & Glitter Brilliants in "Copper", "Silver", "Gold" & "Ice", Ofra x Nikkie Tutorials Everglow Highlighter, Rimmel Wake Me Up BB Cream, Wake Me Up Concealer & Scandaleyes Eyeliner in "Blamed Blue" & "Blackmail", Topshop Glow Stick in "Spotlight" & Glitter in "Flash"

I know Instagram is jam-packed with these amazing "festival" make up looks; in reality, for me, I can't be bothered with all that. Plus to achieve a look like that you'd need to bring your entire make up collection with you which I'm just not willing to do. A natural looking base, a bit of eyeliner, mascara and some glitter here and there will do me just fine! For my base make up I'm really enjoying using my Lancôme Nude Gel, it is a universal gel that gives my skin radiance whilst mimicking my skin tone to make my complexion more even. I've also tried mixing a little bit of the Rimmel BB Cream, a product I haven't really liked in the past (read my review here) to give a little more coverage. I hate throwing away products, even ones that I hate, so will always try and find a way for them to work. Where brushes are concerned I only take a minimal amount and make sure I have cleaned all the glitter off them before using them again!

A lot of people ask about the shower situation at Glastonbury, the thing is I'm not actually sure if there are any. Normally what we do is buy a 10 litre water bottle, fill it up with water and whilst someone is pouring it over our heads we use a shower gel/shampoo to give ourselves a quick wash. Doing this whilst its raining is not enjoyable. But you've got to do what you've got to do if you don't want to stink. Another important toiletry to bring, probably the most important, is baby wipes. You won't want to enter a port-a-loo without them! Glastonbury here I come...
