10 Beauty Products I Can't Live Without

Wednesday, 7 June 2017

There are many many products that I like and enjoy using, however there are only a handful that I can't live without! Of course I am being a bit dramatic when I say that. What I mean is these products are my tried and tested and they have never let me down. I would whole-heartedly recommend all of them!

1. Miss Dior Fragrance

People talk about having a "signature scent", but this genuinely is mine. I've been wearing it for years and will always have it on my shelf. As soon as I'm running low it will be straight on my Birthday or Christmas wish list. I have spoken about it in my perfume blog (read it here). I remember the first time I smelt it whilst I was on holiday and I've been in love with it ever since.

2. Clinique Take the Day Off Balm

This is quite a recent favourite and I have written an entire blog about this (read it here) but it really is incredible stuff. Anything that is gentle enough to be used to remove mascara but at the same time tough enough to get rid of the fullest coverage foundation is a winner for me. It feels like butter melting onto the skin and leaves my skin feeling so soft and clean. I dare you to try this and not become addicted.

3. Lancôme Hypnose Mascara

This is hands down my favourite mascara and I'm not just saying that because I work for Lancôme. This was the first high end mascara I ever bought when I was a teenager and I was amazed at what it did to my lashes. It gives volume and curls the lashes for the ultimate "doll eyed" look. I have repurchased many times and will continue to do so.

4. Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

I have many many foundation brushes that I use and like but the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush is the one I always go back to. It blends foundation seamlessly and you can achieve a flawless base within seconds. It's also pretty cheap for those of you who don't like to spend too much.

5. Beauty Blender

For my under eye concealer and powder, there isn't a tool that I trust more to do the job than the Beauty Blender. Under eye creasing is a thing of the past and it also blends out cream blushes and bronzers beautifully. It took me a while to jump on the Beauty Blender bandwagon but now I can't imagine ever getting off.

6. Moroccanoil Hair Treatment

My hair is very thick, coarse, frizzy and bleached; I've spoken of this many times. The one product that I've noticed actually makes a difference is the Moroccanoil treatment. It smells amazing, makes my hair feel smooth and tames any frizz. I've been using this for years and my hair is definitely thanking me for it.

7. Clarisonic Cleansing Brush

This is quite a new product for me but I'm already feeling the benefits (apologies for the dirty brush). Basically cleansing alone doesn't get rid of all the make up on your skin; having a brush that flushes out all of the dirt and impurities in your pores works so much better and of course when you clean your skin properly you're less likely to get breakouts. There are many other brands who have brought out cleansing brushes that are a bit cheaper than the Clarisonic, if you're on a budget. But I would definitely recommend including a brush in your cleansing routine. Trust me, your skin will never have felt cleaner!

8. Urban Decay Naked Palettes

Whatever new palette I add to my collection I always find myself reaching for the Naked palettes. To be honest, they're not the best quality eyeshadows on the market. But the colours are beautiful and the pay off is great. The best colours to create a natural smokey eye.

9. Tweezerman Eyelash Curler

I used to have a fear of eyelash curlers, I was scared that I was going to rip all my eyelashes out. Of course that has never happened and now I won't be without them. If you find your eyelashes aren't very noticeable, even with mascara, then try using some eyelash curlers for extra impact. I do like my Tweezerman lash curlers however you can get them from pretty much every brand right now so I don't think it really matters which ones you go for!

10.Tangle Teezer

See number 6 for my hair issues. I've literally broken hair brushes before because they've got stuck in the mess that is my hair and I always found them very painful to use as they snag. However, the Tangle Teezer is a triumph! It gets rid of all my knots without tugging or pulling on my hair so there is zero pain. I will never be without it.
