I am ALL OVER THIS. This is just too cute I can’t deal with it. Clinique obviously had someone like me in mind when they created this. I’ve never actually tried the Chubby Sticks before but, with this Crayola make over that was it, I needed them.
The set cost me £35; yes they are minis but it includes 8 Chubby Sticks so I didn’t think that was a bad price at all. This is a nice introduction to the Chubby Stick world for me as I’m getting to to try lots of different colours without breaking the bank. They also come in a crayon box - eeek isn't that great! I think this would also make such a cute gift, remember Mother’s Day is coming up!
The Chubby Sticks are advertised as being “lip colour balm” so I knew they weren’t going to be massively pigmented but I did like the feel of them. To be honest I’m quite happy for a balm colour not to be too intense; it’s great for those days where you're a bit dressed down and want to keep make up to a minimum. I found them very moisturising and hydrating whilst giving a subtle sheen of colour to the lips. I was also quite surprised as the darker colours (as you can see in the swatch picture) did have a really nice pay off.
There is something nostalgic about the whole collection as I’m sure everyone remembers using Crayola crayons as a kid. All in all I am very happy to add these to my lip collection and am very impressed with the Chubby Stick range!
