Today (8th December 2016) is the two year anniversary of Sam and I flying to Bangkok and starting our travelling adventures around Asia! Overall we spent just over 5 months there and visited Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia & Vietnam. People I know are probably sick of me going on about it so much, even 2 years on, but it was such an unforgettable experience. It’s funny because when I think back to how I was before I left, I’m a bit embarrassed to admit that I was actually scared and definitely questioned whether I really wanted to go sometimes. It was the first time I would have spent longer than 2 weeks in another country and being so far away from friends and family I was worried that I would struggle and get homesick. But how wrong I was!
I think everyone should go travelling at some point in their lives, it’s so incredible to be able to experience such a different culture and way of life. Plus there are some stunning places there that I couldn’t quite believe were actually real. Sam and I had been toying with the idea for a couple of years before we just decided to book a one way ticket to Bangkok for a few months time and save all we could in that time. I can’t believe it’s been two years since we flew the time has just flown by. One of my favourite things to do is look through some travelling pictures and remember all the places we went to...
