Review: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit

Tuesday, 8 November 2016
It’s just so pretttyyyy! Everything from the packaging to the powders themselves is pleasing to the eye; I almost don’t want to use it. Almost. This is the first Hourglass product I have ever purchased and, if the rest of the collection is like this, then I want it all! For me, the winner in this palette is the large nude powder “Surreal Light”. At first I didn’t like the idea of using a face powder that has a shimmer but actually, when applied the shimmer is so soft and subtle it gives such a radiant glow to the skin. The blushers and bronzer are quite subtle as well, which I really like, and they blend so beautifully into the skin that you get a lovely natural finish. The palette also features a nice BIG mirror, which gets thumbs up from me.

Now this palette does not come cheap; it cost me a whopping £69. I know! Hourglass is a high-end brand so all the products are quite pricey. However you are getting five products in one, which is what appealed to me when I first saw this product. For those of you who don’t like to splurge on make up products, if you’re ever in the mood to save up for something special then I would recommend this palette without a doubt.

Did I mention how pretty it is?
