Review: NARS Dual Intensity Cheek Palette

Tuesday, 1 November 2016
Nars “Orgasm” is possibly one of my favourite blushes ever; it’s such a lovely pink shimmer that can look really flattering. Knowing how much I love that blush (and palettes of all kinds), when Nars brought out the Dual Intensity Cheek Palette I had to give it a go. All the colours are so pretty and have soft shimmers, which is perfect for me as I love all things that shimmer! I think cheek palettes are definitely down to personal taste; it can be hard to find colours that suit every skin tone so it is less appealing to buy if there are shades you don’t like and know you won’t use. I love using different colours on my cheeks to suit whatever look I’m going for. I do love how the palette also includes bronze and highlight colours making it very handy to travel with.

Application is beautiful, as I guessed it would be knowing Nars blushes well. The pigment isn’t too strong so there’s no risk of looking like you’ve been in the cold for hours after one swipe. I prefer blushes that are less pigmented and being able to build up the colour to the intensity I prefer. I rate Nars blushes and would really recommend them. As said before, I would make sure you like all these shades before purchasing as it is a lot of money (£40 actually) to spend when you’ll only be using part of the product. I am really happy with this purchase as I think these colours are beautiful and will look great for Autumn.
